One Month Until "The Theory of Everything" Arrives

It’s almost here! One month from today, The Theory of Everything will be in your hands, and you can join Alex as her quest to find the key that unlocks everything takes her farther than any mind was ever meant to venture—and beyond.

To whet your appetite, here’s a little teaser quote from the book. You can catch more of these over the next month on my Facebook, X and Instagram pages.

Sale alert! From now through Sunday, the first trilogy collection, AMARANTHE I: RISE is FREE in ebook & audiobook*. AND the second collection, AMARANTHE II: REBELLION, is 50% off! Now odds are, you tore through these books long ago - but maybe your friends and co-workers haven’t? If you know anyone who enjoys scifi or grand, character-driven stories, tell them about the sale! Get them hooked, and then you’ll have plenty to talk about. ;)

* ($0.99 at retailers that don’t do free. And I can’t make the audiobook free or $0.99 on Audible - even I don’t have that kind of power. But BookFunnel (direct), Chirp, Apple, Google Play, Kobo and more all have excellent audiobook apps that work just as well as the Audible app, and the audiobooks are usually cheaper - give one a try!).

Now, allow me to gush about my recent book reads. If you follow me on social media or subscribe to my Supermassive Black Holes blog, you’ve already heard me go on and on about Hyperion by Dan Simmons. You can read all my thoughts on it (and all my excuses for why I’d never read it until now) here: SMBH: Hyperion. TL;DR: it’s an incredible book. A seminal book worthy of all the accolades it’s received over the years. Since I made that post, I’ve read the remaining 3 books in the Hyperion Cantos series, and I can recommend them as well; they do not rise to the soaring heights of the first book, but they’re excellent scifi novels.

And now I have a set of some of the most beautiful books I’ve ever laid eyes upon: The Broken Binding special edition hardcovers of the Hyperion Cantos. Pictures cannot convey how gorgeous these books are.

My #1 career goal isn't to see my books on the screen in movies or TV series - it's to have a full-out, every flourish Broken Binding edition of the Aurora Rising novels. Or, you know, all of them. ;)

So what about you? Do you have any print books that rank among your most prized possessions? Books that qualify as art, or that hold significant sentimental value, or are collectibles from days long past? Let me know - and send pictures!
